About us

In 2023, our family made the decision to leave the Netherlands and settle in France with our horses.
For a long time, we had dreamed of living abroad and developing an equestrian activity in a more natural environment—one that truly respects the horse.
When the time came to take the leap, moving abroad to continue our passion for horses felt like the natural choice.

In the Netherlands, it is common for horses to go outside only one or two hours a day bacause lack of space.
We always found this difficult, as we believe that every horse deserves space, movement, and freedom.

Today, in France, our horses finally enjoy the living conditions they truly deserve: vast pastures, plenty of time outdoors, and a calm, balanced environment.
This change allows us to offer them a fairer, more natural, and more harmonious life—one that fully reflects our vision of equine well-being.

Femke Gorter

Femke has been passionate about horses for as long as she can remember.
At the age of seven, she received her first pony, which she soon replaced with a larger one that she trained herself all the way up to the highest competition level by the ponies.

She then transitioned from ponies to horses, competing up to the Z level, while patiently and sensitively starting and training several young horses.

in the the same time she was studying architecture, she decided to dedicate herself entirely to her equestrian career.
she has worked as a groom for various Olympic riders and as a professional rider in the United States, further enriching her experience and expertise. In 2024 she graduated in architecture.

Doortje Gorter

Doortje has also always had a deep passion for horses.
After spending five years at a riding school, the family bought their first horse, soon followed by their first broodmare—the moment that sparked Doortje's enthusiasm for breeding.

Over the years, she has trained and competed several horses that she schooled herself up to ZZ-Licht level, and she also competed in Young Riders.
Doortje graduated from the Freestyle Academy, which enables her to guide riders in groundwork and help them develop relaxation and connection with their horses.

Alongside her passion for horses, she also works part-time as a ERP-Software Consultant.

Our breeding lines

Our horses are registered with the KWPN studbook.
We are convinced that the KWPN does an outstanding job and that the quality of its mares and stallions is exceptionally high.

We are also aware that breeding has become very international—something reflected within the KWPN itself for many years—and we see this as a positive development.
We regularly attend shows and inspections in Germany, and we also use stallions from Germany and Denmark.

The Best Start for Our Foals

We do everything we can to provide our foals with the best possible conditions from birth, thanks to:

Plenty of exercise – essential for harmonious development and healthy muscles.

Optimal nutrition – because only the best is good enough: feed tailored to each growth stage, mash made with oil, and premium hay.

Daily contact – from their very first days, our foals learn to follow the lead and trust humans in a calm and gentle environment.

Every detail matters: respect, consistency, and kindness are at the heart of our approach, ensuring we raise balanced, confident, and healthy horses

Well-being First and Foremost

At our stables, the well-being of the horse always comes first.

We believe it is essential to respect the horse's nature and fundamental needs.

That is why our horses never live alone, whether in the field or in the stable.
Each horse spends at least six hours a day outdoors, whether it is a sport horse or a broodmare.
They also have unlimited access to hay, respecting their natural need to eat throughout the day.

During the summer, our horses live outside at night and come indoors when the temperature exceeds 30°C.

We made the choice to leave the Netherlands and settle in France to offer our horses a more natural, fair, and respectful life — one that truly places their well-being at the heart of everything we do.
